《电脑游戏世界》(1981-2008)
电脑游戏世界，英文名称
《Computer Gaming World》杂志封面出版商：拉塞尔-席珀出版公司(Russell Sipe)和兹夫-戴维斯出版公司(Ziff-Davis)
特别之处：在《电脑游戏世界》问世之初，有关电子游戏这一新生领域的杂志并不多见，具有权威性的更是少之又少。作为其中一本罕见的权威性杂志，《电脑游戏世界》获得巨大成功，一期的页数高达500页。
当时，如果一本科技杂志的名字使用“世界”(World)这个单词，会经常给读者这样一种暗示——这本杂志是由美国国际数据集团(以下简称IDG)出版的。原因很简单：IDG出版了一系列名字中使用“世界”的杂志，例如《PC World》、《Macworld》、《Computerworld》、《InfoWorld》、《Network World》、《Amiga World》、《NeXTWorld》等等。但实际上，《电脑游戏世界》是由IDG的强硬对手兹夫-戴维斯出版的。形象地说，这相当于汉堡王推出了一种名为“McWhopper”的三明治。
最后的日子：2006年，兹夫-戴维斯与微软签署一项许可协议，将《电脑游戏世界》更名为“Games for Windows: The Official Magazine”。就这样，更名之后的《电脑游戏世界》又以死树版(印刷版)的形式“存活”了几年时间，但看着游戏期刊中一个伟大的名字从此消失，我们不能不感到一种遗憾。
现状：《Games for Windows》现在是兹夫-戴维斯1Up游戏网的一个组成部分。

Games for Windows: The Official Magazine is a monthly computer game magazine published by Ziff Davis Media and the Microsoft Corporation. It is the successor to Computer Gaming World. The publication date of its first issue was November 2006.
According to Ziff Davis, the magazine is to be a "rebirth" of the Computer Gaming World magazine, which has lost news stand presence over the past few years. According to the editorial staff of CGW/GFW, the magazine will essentially remain unchanged and is in no way subject to Microsoft's influence, something reflected in the language of the legal agreement between Ziff Davis and Microsoft. For the last several years, Computer Gaming World' coverage has overwhelmingly been on Windows-only games due to the relative lack of games which support other operating systems.
