6月6日是盟军成功攻入法国66周年纪念日。1944年,经过精心策划,多方合作,盟军成功展开了历史上最大的两栖登陆战役——6月6日,在5000多艘舰船、轰炸机、滑翔机和空降兵的协助下,超过16万的盟军部队登陆。当天,在海滨作战中,数千名士兵牺牲——在随后的进攻中,有更多的士兵牺牲。盟军进攻成功,把德军赶往东方,最终取得1945年的盟军胜利。这里收集了1944年诺曼底登陆日的准备、实施和后果,以及2010年的几张照片。
