来自国际流行音乐重镇瑞典，由男成员PerGessle和女成员MarieFredriksson组成。per和marie78年相识于哈尔姆斯塔德市的一家摇滚俱乐部，俩人都爱好美国60年代的摇滚乐。1986年，他们正式走到了一起，组建了Roxette。首张专辑《PearlsOfPassion》的推出便在瑞典一炮而红。可以说说《Joyride》（驾车游玩、兜风之意）这张专辑名字的来源，来自保罗·卡特尼所说的一句话：“和约翰·侬一起写歌就像是进行了一次长途兜风”。谭咏麟的那首《你知我知》，正是Roxette在89年《Looksharp》里的“thelook”，老牌港台只是做了重新填词。

1988年Roxette推出第二张专辑「LookSharp!(当心留意)」，这张专辑在瑞典造成更大的回响，但Roxette仍然没有打入国际乐坛。不过，千里马终究会有伯乐赏识的。当年有一个美国交换学生自瑞典回国後，力促明尼苏达州的广播电台KDWB播放TheLook这首爆发力/感染力极强的歌曲。从此TheLook的拷贝录音带便流传到美国其他的电台，一夕之间，Roxette一炮而红！他们在美国有了第一支热门单曲，所谓打铁要趁热，他们旋即於1989年在美发行TheLook单曲，一飞冲天到了排行榜冠军，而且在其他24个国家也纷纷登上了排行第一名。同年10月，Roxette以ListenToYourHeart拿下第二个全美冠军，并在欧洲展开巡回演出。紧接著，Per重新谱写ItMustHaveBeenLove，拿掉了原有的ChristmasForTheBrokenHearted的字样，在1990年成为Roxette的第三首全美排行冠军曲，在全美电台的点播率始终居高不下。这首歌并收录在卖座电影『麻雀变凤凰PrettyWoman』的原声带当中，而这张原声带也缔创了900万张的销售佳绩。

1996年——Roxette在这一年的前半段进入休整,没有任何活动。而Per倒为GylleneTider乐队写了4首瑞典语歌曲并推出EP。GylleneTider的重组成为该年瑞典乐坛的热点,乐队推出了精选碟、举行了全国巡演、占领了排行榜、捧走了多个奖项。到了年底,GylleneTider功成名就,退出乐坛。另一边,Marie也没闲着,她推出了第5张个人大碟,并生下第二个孩子。该年秋季,又推出一张西班牙语唱片“BaladasEnEspanol”,在西班牙、阿根廷、智利、墨西哥等国家受到欢迎。

1998年——1月,Roxette重新上路,乐队飞往西班牙开始第6张大碟的录制。最终在11月完成。

“RoomService”专辑延续昔日旧风，依然洋溢着无限激情，火爆的动感节奏与高亢动情的演唱交辉生映，全集开篇以具有与往日不同的电子合成旋律的“TheCentreOfTheHeart”开始，俨然具有Disco的风韵，一开口完全就是我们的老相识的Roxette，专辑歌曲多为急促快板的Roxette式的摇滚节奏，但也有象“BringMeDownToMyKnees”这样的慢板柔情歌曲，12首歌曲各具千秋，各自表达一种心境…十几年的黄金组合走过了灿烂辉煌的音乐历程，如今更显得老到成熟，音乐制作水准更是不同凡响。
